Elmer Personal Assistant
Elmer Personal Assistant is a private hobbyist project operated by the account owner for communication with a small number of personally known family members. It is not a public messaging service, marketing program, or commercial mailing list.
How Consent Is Obtained
Before a family member's mobile telephone number is added to Elmer Personal Assistant, the account owner personally asks that individual for permission to communicate with them by SMS through Elmer Personal Assistant. The family member is told that:
- Participation is voluntary.
- Messages may include conversational responses to questions or requests for information.
- With the recipient's consent, messages may also include relevant time-sensitive information, such as severe weather warnings.
- Message frequency varies depending upon the recipient's use of the service and relevant events.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- The recipient may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving SMS messages.
- The recipient may reply HELP for assistance.
Only after the family member explicitly agrees to receive these SMS messages is that person's mobile number added to the application. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
Who Can Receive Messages
This SMS service is limited to a small number of personally known family members who have explicitly agreed to participate. Telephone numbers are not purchased, rented, scraped, obtained from third-party lists, or collected from the general public. Elmer Personal Assistant does not send advertising or promotional SMS messages.
Withdrawal of Consent
A recipient may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, the recipient will no longer receive SMS messages from Elmer Personal Assistant unless the recipient subsequently chooses to opt in again. For assistance, recipients may reply HELP.
Privacy and Terms
Mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
